The practice

StudioDelRio is based in San Ramón, Alajuela, and presents a varied portfolio of houses, rental units, lodges and commercial renovations. Its published projects include Arbor Domus in Nosara and Emergĕre in Santa Teresa, alongside work in inland and Pacific coastal settings.

An approach to architecture.

Its project descriptions often begin with slopes, views and vegetation. Raised volumes, shaded circulation and changes in texture help organize contemporary spaces around these site conditions.
